When we made these healthy chocolate popsicles, all the kids could hardly contain themselves while I took photos. They were literally pushing their noses up against the windows. And let me tell you, these popsicles did not disappoint. With just 4 healthy ingredients, you'll be feeling pretty dang good about yourself for handing these over, and your kids (and you) will feel like it's a real treat!
How to make perfect healthy chocolate popsicles
Let's start off with a secret: it's REALLY EASY!
Add the banana, almond milk, cocoa powder and nut butter of your choice to a blender and blend until really smooth. You can add a splash of milk if the mixture is too hard to pour into the molds. It usually takes my freezer about 2 hours to harden the popsicles completely, but every freezer is different.
If you can't get your popsicles out of the mold, just run the mold under room temperature tap water until you can wiggle it out.
My favorite ice pop molds
I want to start this list off with a confession. I bought molds at the Dollar Tree (not pictured) and I love them! They come with a little tray at the bottom to catch all the drippings, and there's a little straw on the side to suck it up! Whoever invented this is a genius in my book. But here's a linked list to some other pretty awesome molds.
Tovolo Rocket Ice Pops - these come in the shape of rockets and have great reviews!
This set is highly rated on Amazon and are the "Amazon Choice". These are a simple shape, but the mold is silicone, so they can be popped out easily. This set comes with a funnel, wood popsicle sticks AND a recipe book.
