I've literally eaten this raspberry parfait every day for the past week. Mostly because chocolate and raspberry is one of the all time best combinations. So why not start the day off right? Plus, once you make a batch of chocolate granola, you can easily have this every day of the week.
Chocolate Granola
My sister-in-law created this phenomenal chocolate granola recipe. It comes chock full of oats, shredded coconut and roasted, salted almonds, with a touch of natural sweetener. So easy to make ahead and munch on all week. Plus, it makes an awesome gift! I'm using it for Valentine's gifts for my kids teachers.
Valentine's Day Breakfast
When did Valentine's Day suddenly come with all this pressure to make it a special day for our kiddos, right? The entire Target Dollar Spot is full of Valentine's Day gadgets and decór. I don't have space in my attic for a whole box full of Valentine's Day stuff! And after watching Marie Kondo, I just can't bring myself to add more stuff to my home. Oh Marie, I love you.
Confession: I bought these parfait glasses in the dollar spot at Target. They have hearts on the other side. But they were only $1! Sorry Marie.
Chobani Yogurt makes the best raspberry parfait
I listened to a "Stuff You Should Know" podcast about yogurt. It was over an hour long, seriously. But I never got bored! The origins of yogurt is oddly fascinating. You should give it a listen. Basically, we have the Greeks to thank for bringing yogurt here to the states. And the reason behind "fruit on the bottom" is so fascinating. I sound crazy, but I find weird trivia to be so interesting.
